The Confederate flag today, or sometimes called the "Confederate Battle Flag" has been widely recognized emblem of the South. With one hand the belief that slavery should be maintained (south), while U.S. officials have tried to change the situation, eventually leading to the birth of the Confederate flag. Basically, the war was fought on the issues of slavery.
